I've heard a saying that has stayed with me. A sister said her favorite place in her home was the kitchen because that's where her family had lots of memories. Many of my family memories revolve around food. Dibbleicious cookies... need I say more. In an attempt to work on my cooking skills I am going to try and post different recipes I attempt to make.
Here is one I did last week: Crescent Dogs
Where did I find the recipe: On the side of the crescent rolls can.
Crescent Dogs
Crescent rolls update the popular "pig-in-blanket" concept, along with a yummy surprise: melted cheese in each frank.
Prep Time: 10 Min
Total Time: 25 Min
Makes: 8 sandwiches
INGREDIENTS:
8 hot dogs
4 slices (3/4 oz each) American cheese, each cut into 6 strips
1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit.
2. Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
3. Bake at 375°F. for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
It was yummy and made me very happy!
