I think this picture captures Elphaba's beauty! (A young and hopeful Elphaba (Eden Espinosa) arrives at Shiz University)

This is the day I have been waiting for over a year! I have listened to the CD countless times!! I was so excited the whole time I was at ASU’s Gammage Auditorium and even the whole day, even when I got drenched by the rain on my way to class. It was raining sideways!! Whitney captures my excitement wonderfully on her blog. I also got an awesome shirt that says Defy Gravity. It was such an amazing performance!! I don’t think I can even begin to describe how I felt. When Elphaba walked on stage everyone clapped, including me, (yes I was the first one to start clapping!!). I don't think I realized I was actually there until Elphaba sang, "The Wizard and I". That was fantastic! That song was awesome!! All of the songs were perfect!! Before the show got started I went to get a closer look at the stage and while I was admiring the set up an usher told me, “You know who the real fans are because they are wearing green!” I just grinned and nodded!! The performers all did an amazing job! Here are their bios. Here are some pictures of the people who sat between me! They were great company!

These next two pictures are of the people who actually performed!

Sebastian Arcelus as Fiyero and Julia Murney as Elphaba

Defying Gravity was AMAZING!!!!!!

I felt like this the whole night!!

Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's game Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep It's time to trust my instincts Close my eyes: and leap! It's time to try Defying gravity I think I'll try Defying gravity And you can't pull me down!

Samurai Jack

Last night I watched Samurai Jack with Ray, George, Anabelle, and Adam. Adam rented the pilot episodes of the cartoon. It was really cool! There wasn't that much talking but the sound effects and the actions scenes were really awesome! The guy who designed the cartoons of Samurai Jack is the same guy who did the Star Wars cartoons (between episodes 2 and 3). I can't wait to watch more Samurai Jack!

F.U.N. song

Last night my parents and I had an enjoyable evening at Xan's. We ordered OUTBACK takeout and then watched a couple of Spongebob Squarepants episodes. They make me laugh! One of them had a really cute and funny song! Here are the lyrics:

Sea creatures: Down here in the deep blue sea

Nachoooooooooooooooooooooo Libre!!

Saturday Blake and I went and saw Nacho Libre together after having dinner at Nello's. At Nello's we had some bread crusts and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was delicious! All I know is that there were several parts in the movie that made me laugh out loud! In a way it is like Napolean Dynamite because as you are watching the movie you're thinking to yourself ,"This is the most wierdest thing ever! I don't get it!". Then after the movie you can't stop laughing because of something you remembered from the show. "It's fantastic!"

We Must Sing!!!

I was listening to this song this morning on my IPOD and the words really touched me. I especially liked the second verse.
We Must Sing
Text by Rob Gardner
Who knows the burden placed on your heart?
Whence comes the longingwhen shall it part?
No matter the sorrow, He'll not forsake,
God made our hearts and in His absence they ache.
Who knows what trials may come our way?
How shall we meet them?
What will He say When we kneel before Him?
Will He approve?
God gave us trials that we might choose.

Who'll tell what blessings flow from above?
How might we measure His boundless love?
I'll sing of His goodness, Glory I'll bring.
God made our voices,
but we make them sing.

God gave us voices, so we must sing.

A Change of Heart

"When we truly understand how great a blessing the gospel of Jesus Christ is in our lives, when we accept and embrace these eternal truths and allow them to sink deep into our hearts and souls, we experience a'mighty change' (Alma 5:14) in our hearts. We are filled with love and gratitude. As the prophet Alma wrote, we feel 'to sing the song of redeeming love' (Alma 5:26) to all who will hear it."

Ohhhhhhh a new website!

I just found this cool website. Check it out!

The Lion King 1 1/2

Last night I babysat Raymond, George, and Anabelle. They were angels! While I was there we decided to watch The Lion King 1 1/2. It was the cutest show! It had hints and other funny lines to other Disney movies and the Lion King movie. I am glad that I was able to watch it with them! It reminded me of Kronk's New Groove, which is one of my favorite movies!

Go Suns!!!!!

Yeah, I was there! It was so much fun! Blake invited me to go to GAME 4 with him. There was so much energy. I made sure that I wore my orange and purple. I was very happy and surprised that Raja was playing! My throat was sore from cheering the Suns on. (And no I didn't get a shirt!)

After the game we went to Blake's favorite restaurant, Houston's. The spinach dip was to die for and their cheeseburger was delicious!

X-Men

I saw X-Men 3: The Last Stand on Saturday. Before that I also saw X-Men and X-Men 2. It was awesome! I would totally recommend watching the first two movies before going to see the third movie! Enjoy!

100 things to do...

At the beginning of this year I created a list of exacly 100 things I wanted to do. Since then I have come up with so much more, which includes riding on a dog sled. One of the things I would like to accomplish is to visit all of the National Parks in the United States. I think there are 56 on them! I'd better get started... I want to go back to the Grand Canyon so when I do that would be killing two birds with one stone. I also think it would be really cool to visit places around the great state of Arizona.

Happy Birthday to Claire Alexandra Dibble.......Happy Mother's Day!!

Welcome Claire Alexandra Dibble!

Since her father (Adam) and Aunt (Whitney) have already written about her (weight, length, name) I will give my version of the story.
6:16 AM Sunday morning the phone rings once and I go back to sleep. After dreaming about the steak I had the previous night I woke up at 7:10 and talked to Dad, who was on the computer. He told me Adam called. "Oh that's nice" I thought. A few seconds rolled by and Dad told me that Adam (he said it a little slower) had called. OH THE BABY WAS BORN. So by 7:30 we were off to see our new family member. I had my camera all ready to use and did I use it. She was so cute and I loved her name. It was very fitting for her. I got some cute color pictures and some nice black and white shots. I got really good shots of Grandma and Grandpa Dibble and Adam took a great shot with me. She is home now and I can't wait to see her again.

Happy Mother's Day to my AMAZING mother! I love her so much! For her present I got her a mix of different audio files of Hoops and Yoyo. I also made her breakfast and while she was eating we listened and laughed to the CD. Also Happy Mother's Day to my awesome sister-in-law's. My nieces and nephews are very lucky to have them for their mother.

My two dear friends Matt Coleman and Elyse Corriveau got married! I met Elyse in the ward about two in a half years ago. She and I were friends instantly! I went to the temple and saw them walk out of the temple. I am so happy for them!

Easter Pictures

Well, I know that it is a few weeks since Easter AND my family has already posted some pictures. BUT I wanted to post some more pictures because that's what photographers do, right? Anyway... here are some pictures that I took. The pictures are of my nephews and nieces. ENJOY!

Easter was wonderful by the way! The spirit was very strong in the meetings I attended and found a new love for a great hymn, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives!" Here are the words to this amazing song (bolded are the parts that particularly touched me):

1. I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

2. He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soulÂ’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.

3. He lives, my kind, wise heavÂ’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, IÂ’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.

4. He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”

Text: Samuel Medley, 1738–1799. Included in the first LDS hymnbook, 1835.
Music: Lewis D. Edwards, 1858–1921

Blind Date

Last Saturday I went on a blind date with Blake Larson. We had dinner and then went to a movie at the Arizona Center. We ate at Sam’s Café. We split the Sedona Spring Rolls and the Chicken Fajita. We walked around the AZ Center a bit before going to see “The Sentinel.” It was a good movie! I had a fun time!

ALIAS

It's finally back! After watching Wednesday night I remember why I love ALIAS so much.
Here are some lessons that I have learned while watching ALIAS:

Nothing says "I love you" like a severed finger.

If your mother is an assassin/KGB agent/head of a criminal organization, and your father is An assassin/mind control scientist/amateur surgeon, Dr. Phil and Oprah will NOT be able to help you.

Credit dauphine is a lousy bank.

A roommate who hides funky antibiotics is very bad news-really bad news!

Never remove your memory, it complicates things

Always remember the kinds of ice cream you and your best friend like

If your boyfriend writes for a travel magazine, and you've never read any of his articles, something's up.

Joey's makes the best pizza

Just because people have missing fingers, were shot at many times, or died in a car crash doesn't mean they're dead

Wrapping paper can make a great skirt

Some homeless men have jobs

You can graduate from school going to about 5 classes (I wish!)

Always have a backup plan

There's no drug like adrenaline

'Numps' actually is a word

Sometimes the truth hurts. A lot.

Spencer's Class

This semester I have been truly blessed to have an AMAZING teacher. His name is David Spencer! Last Thursday we took a class picture:

Back Row: (Left to Right) Cassandra, Shayla, Shannon, Jose, Spencer, Beth W., Tiffany, Amy, and Renae.

Middle Row: (L to R) Lisa, Beth D. (that's ME!), Andrea, Rachel, Adrienne, Lauren, and Evan.
Front Row: (sitting L to R) Brandy, Melissa, Chrissy, Pete, and Renee.
Not Pictured: Johanna, Jennifer

I found this article and it gives a small but wonderful description of that kind of person Spencer is. This was in the Arizona Republic on August 11, 2005:

“When Chandler kindergarten teacher Tonia Tinker was asked to be featured in Yes, The Arizona Republic's weekly fashion magazine, she didn't hesitate."It was a lot of fun doing the hair and the makeup and wearing the clothes. I had a great time," Tinker said. But after last week's edition hit driveways, the 24-year-old Jacobson Elementary School teacher found she had become a mini-celebrity - on and off campus.
As parents drive up to the curb at pickup time, they have handed her copies of the magazine and told her she's a natural model. Tinker also got a supportive e-mail from Camille Casteel, superintendent of the Chandler Unified School District, after Casteel read the story. The most exciting response came from David Spencer, an Arizona State University social studies professor Tinker had in college."I got this envelope with the article and a letter from him saying he was proud of me. I was so excited, I called my sister immediately to tell her about it," Tinker said. "He (the professor) goes through 30 kids every three months, and yet he remembered me." "

Eternal Perspective

"Think about your life and set your priorities. Find some quiet time regularly to think deeply about where you are going and what you will needto do to get there. Jesus, our exemplar, often 'withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed' (Luke 5:16). We need to do the same thing occasionally to rejuvenate ourselves spiritually as the Savior did. Write down the tasks you would like to accomplish each day. Keep foremost in mind the sacred covenants you have made with the Lord as you write down your daily schedules."

~ M. Russell Ballard

I love watching my nephews and nieces grow up. Last Wednesday I was starting to trudge down the stairs when a note addressed to me on a paper towel caught my eye. Here is what was inside: (Isn't Ray cute!)
